Brief

After approaching the Manager from Tbar Tshirt Company, I was selected to take part in their ’14 day showcase exhibition’. This campaign was developed to feature designers, both international and local. Over a two-week period, three of my designs were advertised and sold exclusively through Tbar stores. I have always had a passion for Tshirt design
and was excited to be
involved in this project.

Strategy

I was mindful of the target market being predominantly males between the ages of 15 and 35. I initially presented six Tshirt concepts in which three were chosen for further development. The Tshirts were all digitally enhanced using photoshop to increase the quality of the images. Of these three designs, all contained a unique style and varied in colour to appeal to a wide range of customers. I created a website titled ‘Projektmono’ as it was important to have presence during the campaigns media exposure and advertising. I am also a long-term featured artist on the Tbar website.

All three Tshirts sold well nationally, particularly the one featuring the stacked tapes. Due to its success, I was commissioned to create another Tshirt featuring a similar design for a further exhibition. A fourth Tshirt with stacked poker chips was an ideal choice.

Tbar has since been sold to Cotton On clothing company and continues to expand, recently opening a new store in Singapore. This project was one of my proudest achievements as a graphic designer.
